Renovation application → Permit-to-Work, plus a refundable fit-out deposit. Required before works begin.

SCDF / FSSD — Fire Safety

Fire-safety plans lodged via CORENET by a Qualified Person; a Fire Safety Certificate is required before you occupy.

SP Services — Utilities

Commercial utilities account plus electricity/water turn-on. A deposit is payable; commercial power-on is gated by SP testing and the LEW.

Who · Tenant opens account; LEW handles turn-on

Timeline · Account in minutes; activation ~1–3 days

LEW — Licensed Electrical Worker

Certifies the electrical installation; required above a 45 kVA approved load. Issues the Certificate of Compliance for turn-on.

Who · Owner appoints the correctly graded LEW

Timeline · Runs alongside the fit-out

BCA — Structural / A&A Works

A structural / A&A permit where load-bearing elements or mezzanines are involved. A PE prepares plans; a registered builder is required.

Who · PE + owner + builder (joint)
